Tickets to hear Bill Gates in Waterloo in big demand Updated Thu. Feb. 14 2008 12:59 PM ET Free tickets to hear Bill Gates at the University of Waterloo next week are in big demand -- even though many of the students are normally off during reading week. The university has only about 700 tickets for the event. Most of the tickets for Thursday's presentation are going to university students. About 200 will go to high school students. The university is also planning to set up a room with a large screen for an overflow crowd and is trying to create a link so the public will be able to see Gates live on the university's website. It's Gates' only Canadian stop on a tour of five North American campuses.
