One person is dead and another has been taken to hospital after a diving mishap off the shores of Bronte Harbour in Oakville. Police responded to the mayday call on Wednesday afternoon.

Health Minister Leona Aglukkaq is not making any commitments to implement the recommendations from a Health Canada report urging a cut in sodium consumption. The aim is to reduce people's average daily sodium intake by about a third by 2016.
